We are looking to appoint an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher to cover a maternity leave. This is initially a temporary post until 31/03/2022 with a possibility to extend the contract until the end of the academic year or until the return of the postholder.

The successful candidate must have previous experience of working in an educational establishment within Key Stage 1 and have excellent literacy, numeracy, IT skills and experience of the teaching of phonics.

The candidate must have experience of supporting children with differing needs within Key Stage 1 to ensure the children’s individual needs are met.

The successful applicant will be class based to support the inclusion of all children in mainstream classrooms. Excellent communication (oral and written) and numeracy skills are essential to the post.

The successful candidate must be solution focused and be able to work independently and equally as well as part of a team. They require excellent interpersonal and communication skills which allows them to support children to engage in positive learning.

Organisation, timekeeping and reliability are an essential criterion for the role.

St Luke’s is a large inner city school with 465 pupils on roll. It is a 2 form entry school with a 65 place Nursery.
